TROY ELECTED CCAO PRESIDENT

Lake County Commissioner Daniel Troy was elected CCAO president at the CCAO/CEAO Annual Winter Conference held Dec. 10-12 in Columbus. Commissioners elected to serve on the executive committee with Troy are 1st Vice President - Julie Ehemann (Shelby),  2nd Vice President - Carl Davis (Monroe), Secretary - Timothy Bubb (Licking), Treasurer - Deborah Lieberman (Montgomery) and Past President - Ed Humphrey (Clermont). Eight members were elected to two-year terms, while one was elected to fill a one-year unexpired term.  President Troy will appoint one member to the executive committee and nine additional one-year appointments to the board.

FIRST MEDICAID SALES TAX TRANSITIONAL AID PAYMENT MADE

The state made the first of two Medicaid sales tax transition fund payments to the counties and transit authorities on Oct. 30. The payments were split into two allotments - 50% of each county's total transitional aid amount to be sent on or before Nov 1, 2017 and 50% on or after Jan. 1, 2018.

SENATE PROPOSAL FOR MCO LOSS REVENUE

CCAO and the transit authorities along with the Kasich Administration were presented with a proposal by the Senate to address the local MCO sales tax revenue loss. Click here to read more in the Statehouse Report.
