Governor DeWine to address CCAO/CEAO Winter Conference

We are looking forward to having everyone join us at the 141st CCAO/CEAO Annual Conference next week at the Hyatt Regency Columbus.

We have an impressive schedule of events prepared for this year’s conference, including a lunchtime address from Governor Mike DeWine. We’re excited to also welcome state leaders including Lt. Gov. Jon HustedHouse Speaker Bob Cupp and Senate President Matt Huffman who will be addressing events throughout the conference.

Some key events you won’t want to miss include:

Wednesday, December 8th at 9:00 a.m. – Ohio Counties Interactive Display Dedication at the Ohio Statehouse.

All are welcome to attend this open house event as we dedicate a permanent interactive county display in the Statehouse Map Room. The event will run from 9:00 a.m. through 10:30 a.m. and include breakfast and coffee.

Wednesday, December 8th at 11:00 a.m. – New Members Session

Our networking opportunity for CCAO’s newest members, hosted by CEBCO and CORSA Presidents Tony Bornhorst and Cory Noonan.

Wednesday, December 8th at 11:45 a.m. – Governor Mike DeWine

Gov. DeWine will address conference attendees at noon. We will have a grab-and-go lunch starting at 11:45 a.m. so that attendees will have time to join the meeting, grab a lunch and find a seat before noon when the governor arrives.

Wednesday, December 8th at 11:45 a.m. – Opening General Session

Ohio Department of Transportation Director Jack Marchbanks and National Association of Counties President Larry Johnson will provide remarks to conference attendees.

Thursday, December 9th at 11:45 a.m. – Annual CCAO/CEAO Luncheon

Featuring guest speaker Senate President Matt Huffman.

Thursday, December 9th at 5:00 p.m. – Annual CCAO/CEAO Banquet

The reception starts at 5:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m. where Supreme Court Justice Jennifer Brunner will install the 2022 CCAO Officers. All members of the Ohio General Assembly have been invited to attend.

As always, our conference will feature many educational sessions and activities providing members the latest information on critical topics to county government, including ARPA, broadband expansion, workforce development, a legislative update and much more.
