Welcome to the County Commissioners Association of Ohio (CCAO), proudly representing county commissioners, county executives and council members for over 136 years. CCAO is represented by a board of directors consisting of 35 members from different counties throughout the State of Ohio. Those counties range from small to large in population and vary from rural to urban communities. The one common thread that ties all the counties together is the dedicated elected officials at the county commissioner, county executive and council member level. These elected officials are also the members that are the lifeblood of CCAO.

CCAO works to provide commissioners, county executives and council members with the tools and information needed to provide our citizens with efficient and effective county government. Whether it be through educational programs, legislative initiatives or the many service programs offered, we can all be better elected officials if we use the resources at our disposal through CCAO. If you are not involved with CORSA, CEBCO or any of the energy programs, I encourage you to look into what is available. These programs have been designed to save your county money and provide top-notch services to your employees and citizens.

We have made great strides working with leadership at the Statehouse to improve our counties. I look to keep that momentum going in the coming year as we deal with issues such as aging election equipment, water quality standards and an opiate epidemic that has taken hold in our great state - tackling these issues and others that arise will require the involvement of our dedicated membership and the tremendous staff that we have at CCAO.

It is truly an honor and a privilege to serve as President of this great association. I look forward to working with you to make our individual counties and the entire state a better place to live and work. Please feel free to contact me with any concerns or suggestions you may have and let’s make 2017 a great year!
