CCAO BUDGET BRIEFINGs AND voting equipment expos
The state operating budget traditionally impacts counties more than any other legislation enacted during a General Assembly, and this year was no different. HB 49 provides funding to Ohio's counties and make many other policy provisions impacting counties. In addition, counties continue to wait to see how the state will address the $207 million lost revenue stream to counties and transit authorities following the transition aid that was included in HB 49.
This year, our program will include presentations from CCAO's policy team on the budget, updates from CCAO's service programs, CORSA and CEBCO along with highlights from representatives from OSU Extension and the College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences.
Mark your calendars, register and plan to attend one of CCAO's five budget briefings held around the state for county commissioners, county executives and county council members, their chief staff members, and OSU Extension.
Following our program and lunch in certain locations, there will be an open house for county officials and boards of elections to view the voting equipment from various vendors. Please make plans to see this equipment with your board of elections members and staff.
